Among the illustrious prizes to be handed out at Monday's Eater Awards 2011 is an award for the city's Best Restaurant Bathroom. To help guide your votes, Eater will highlight one of the five nominees every day until polls open on Friday. First up: Gitane.

What it looks like: Mr. Important Design lined the bottom of the bathroom with a mesmerizing black-and-white geometric tile design, then softened it with girlish prints of flowers, and the female form. It's a sanctuary luxe enough to slow your rush back to the table for the sensory overload of chef Bridget Batson's tajines. The cherry on top: a glam Art Nouveau chandelier watching over you and your business.
