For those of you that have seen the "Gone fishin, c u in a few" sign up in the door at Unwind on Union, the skinny follows. The owners Todd Slosek and Kai Vance have had the restaurant open now since July of 2010, and it's time to change things up. Vance tells Eater they shuttered after service on Sunday night to begin modifying the interior in preparation for a new name and a new concept coming very soon. They're currently re-painting the exterior green, and the windows are heavily papered. Vance says they've brought a new chef on "from an established spot in SF," and they plan to reopen and unveil the new tack on Thursday the 17th. "We want everyone to know we're not going anywhere," adds Vance. They should be ready to talk about what's in store soon, so do stay tuned.
