Tomorrow Tyler Florence will add another Mill Valley restaurant, Hawk's Tavern, to a Bay Area stable of businesses that now includes Wayfare Tavern, Rotisserie & Wine, El Paseo, a presence at SFO's T2, and one more very mysterious thing on the way in the Tender Nob. As mentioned, Hawk's is entering the former Dish Mill Valley space with a warm, family-appropriate theme, touting an approachable, pub-esque menu of home-made pretzels, fish and chips, burgers and such. Everything is priced under $16. Wayfare Tavern exec chef Michael Thiemann will run the kitchen here, as former Cavallo Point beverage director Dan O'Brien curates an affordable list of local wines and craft beers. Now take a moment to glance around the design by partner Lori Yeomans: the 28-seat porch, 40-some-seat dining room and large bar area. Visit for yourself starting on grand opening day, tomorrow. Daily hours will be from Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
