Holy Dog: Kimchee Fries and Katsu Dogs to Fillmore

New, 1 comment

Back in August, we mentioned a joint heading to 1552 Fillmore Street called Holy Dog. Its opening earlier this month showed the name is quite literal: Holy Dog is primarily a peddler of hot dogs, burgers, wings, and fries—many of them with an Asian twist. The proprietor also runs nearby Nan Korean Kitchen (which The UnterHunt loved, earlier), and there is a Korean twang to some condiments, the kalbi burger and the bulgogi burger. The breaded and deep fried "Katsu Dog" nods to Japan, and the extensive French fry toppings run the gamut from loco moco to kimchee, kalbi, and teriyaki. Then there are little touches that might endear Holy Dog to the neighborhood: The Fillmo' (a hot link slathered in barbecue sauce), hours until midnight, and a fun wall mural that gives you wings.

Thrilling! Now, has anyone tried some of the menu? Do tell in the comments.
