Dixie Preview Dinners, Radius CSAs, and Restaurant Hangover Cures

SNEAK PEEKS - The due date for Joseph Humphrey's highly anticipated Dixie is still TBD, but chef wrote Eater last night to say that he'll be doing teaser dinners at Oakland's Guest Chef from Jan. 3 to the 15th. It'll be a two-course fixed price dinner (with a few extras) for $35/person. Dixie's future wine director Matt Turner will be there pouring wines too. Reserve your spot here. [EaterWire]

CSAS - Just in time for your renewed January vegetable attempts, Radius chef Chris Geremia will begin offering a weekly CSA farm box next week. Pick-up will be at Radius on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and all of the other details are right here on the website. [EaterWire]

QUOTE OF THE DAY - "For this new year, I want a second belly like a cow. I have figured that my favorite thing to do is to eat, and my teeth are sharp, and my jaws are strong, and my appetite is insatiable. So, the only thing stopping me from eating all the time is the space in my stomach. Starting January 1st I will manifest a second cow-like stomach into my body so I can continue to do what I love, unhindered.” —Ubuntu's Aaron London on his New Year's resolution. [R29]

CHEF SHUFFLES - Just over four months after Bauer dropped two stars on Bluestem Brasserie, executive chef Sean Canavan is out. No word yet on his new post, but Inside Scoop reports that pastry chef James Ormsby isn't going anywhere, and Canavan's replacement has almost been nailed down. [ISSF]

NEW YEAR'S DAY SOS- Finally here are some places to get jelly donuts, home fries with cheese and breakfast burritos to distract you from those Jan. 1 hangovers. You are also more than welcome to try these things sans headache. Bon Appetit and Happy New Year.
