eVe to Shutter, Morph Into Peruvian Rotisserie, Brasa

The last night of service for two-year-old, "neoArtisanal" eVe in Berkeley will be New Year's Eve. It's all good though. Husband and wife chef owner team Christopher and Veronica Laramie "have been approached by investors to launch something bigger." As they focus on the new concept, they'll renovate the existing eVe space in January to get a Peruvian rotisserie called Brasa off the ground soon thereafter. Brasa will be a quick-service lunch and dinner spot, serving Peruvian dishes, fresh-squeezed juices, and beer and wine on tap—in addition to the obvious rotisserie chickens. The planned opening is February 2. Brasa will give the Laramie's some time to work on that other big thing with their investors. At this point, not much is known about it, except that it will be more in line with the style of eVe. Mysterious.
