Cochon 555 Unveils Napa Players, Bardessono Turns 2, More!

New, 3 comments

COCHON 555 - The great pig festivus goes down at the CIA in Napa on March 6. And the participants are now hot off the press: Duskie Estes and John Stewart of Sonoma's Zazu, Dave Cruz of Yountville's Ad Hoc, Curtis de Fede and Tyler Rodde of new Napa hottie Oenotri, Charlie Parker, chef de cuisine of Oakland's Plum and finally Brandon Sharp of Calistoga's Solbar. Signore Lucchesi is also dropping hints that Michale Mina's David Varley and Prospect's Ravi Kapur will compete in the San Francisco edition on June 5. [ISSF]

ANNIVERSARIES - Yountville's green spa/hotel/restaurant Bardessono is turning two years old on February 11th. To celebrate they're offering this three-course menu for $22.11 per person in the dining room along with free glasses of champagne in the lobby. Here's the normal menu for your price comparison purposes. [EaterWire]

THE SHUTTER - San Mateo Filipino starlet Bistro Luneta is on the market right now for $169,000. Apparently there's been a recent (and pricey!) remodel done and this includes a liquor license. So...good deal. [Craigslist via GrubStreet]

NIMBYs vs. FOOD TRUCKS - It's not getting any easier for poor JapaCurry. NIMBY-tastic Harvest & Rowe owner Alison Rowe -- last seen making a stink when the Japanese food truck moved to the block where her cafe sits -- is now going out of her way to park a Toyota 4-Runner in the spots JapaCurry has permits for both outside her cafe and around the corner at 75 Second Street. Rowe has been spotted several times furiously pumping quarters into the parking meters at JapaCurry's spots and has declined comment to SFoodie at this time. [SFoodie]
