UPPER HAIGHT - The new Whole Foods on Stanyan Street had a surprise opening today before the scheduled grand opening on Wednesday, Feb. 16. SFist has some early shots of the interior, complete with lots of reused and recycled materials. Also take note, this Whole Foods will have more locally made products than any other and will even go so far as to designate what neighborhood certain goods were made in with point of sale signs. OPENING REPORT - According to our Grubby friend, The Sacred Wheel cheese shop has opened on Shattuck. [GrubStreet]

THE SHUTTER - Signore Lucchesi says Beckett's Irish Pub and Restaurant has officially shuttered and new owner Jean-Yves Duperret will open something called BEC Bistro in its place. [ISSF]

POP-UPS - People are getting pretty loose around here with the term "pop-up." Now we learn of a "pop up happy hour" hosted by Campeon Tequila and Combier Orange Liqueur this Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at RN74. The two liquor companies will be cross-pollinating to offer French Margaritas for "$5!!!!!!!" Ahem. [EaterWire]
