The news just dropped that cult-followed African restaurant recently sold to the guys who do Tonic and Bullitt, Bissap Baobab, is most likely moving in on its sister cafe and music venue Bollyhood down the street. Owner Marco Senghor sees this as an opportunity to combine the live music of Bollyhood with the beloved Senegalese food of Bissap Baobab. His words as per the press release: "Finally, we can provide a full West African experience: food and music together!" The name of the new amalgam restaurant isn't yet set in stone, but use of the Bissap Baobab moniker is the most likely scenario. Changes will happen within the next 90 days. Meanwhile, Bissap Baobab will keep going at 2323 Mission Street until the switch happens.
