ChottoReviewed.jpgBauer San catches the SF Japanese epidemic, hitting up the Marina's new contribution, Chotto. He likes lots of things on chef Armando Justo's menu: from deep-fried tofu and Kobe beef tongue to bacon-wrapped mochi and tuna tartare. Then there's an incident with some rancid-tasting dumplings and a pushy server, asking "what we intended to do once we left the restaurant," but Justo's ramen pulls Bauer out of his funk: "After a bowl of those noodles, everything is right with the world." Turns out, it's a 2.5 star izakaya after all. [Chron]
