Jones Opens Again, Foodily Launches, More!

TENDERLOIN - Jones had a bit of a rough time back in October when it tried to open, but it looks like we can put it all behind us as Madame Hopper announces the bar, restaurant and Sunday brunch will all begin again as of Friday the 11th. The website reveals they're going for "Best Brunch in San Francisco." Well actually no, they're already saying they serve it. [Tablehopper]

LAUNCHES & RELEASES - Foodily is the latest recipe search engine to launch, but this one is a little bit more social than its predecessors. The website integrates with Facebook to allow users to share recipes and collaborate on events and pulls "millions of recipes" from The Food Network's website, Epicurious, Whole Foods, and The New York Times. THE MISSION - Shotwell's (3349 20th Street) bar is having its first annual chili cookoff with a blind taste test this Sunday in honor of the Super Bowl. According the the email blast: "While this event is more about fine beer and food than football, the game will be on on two TV's as well. Free to enter. $5 to taste and vote. Cash Prizes." THE BRUNCH BUNCH - Remember the "Boogie Brunch" from the old days back at the now deceased Levende Lounge in the Mission? Sister restaurant Levende East (827 Washington Ave.) is bringing it back this Sunday in Oakland, complete with live music and the bulid-your-own-bloody Mary bar. [EaterWire]
