TresAgaves.jpgChange is afoot over at Tres Agaves (130 Townsend St.), the ball park area Mexican restaurant owned by Eric Rubin and Joe Manzare. They're likely experiencing a bit of a run for their money of late. So the tequila, tacos and such will stop flowing today as management takes the next nine days or so to "remodel and realign." The planned reopening as of now is March 2. Update: A little more detail on the Tres Agaves closure and remodel came later this morning via Inside Scoop. The most significant change will occur in the bar area, which is growing 50 percent larger. Also the menu, which has slowly evolved and expanded to more of a Tex Mex format over the years, will display some as-yet-unknown newness at time of reopening. Due to the success of the Tres Agaves tequila and those troublesome tide laws, the Tres Agaves name must change as Tres. More on all of this, of course, as we learn it. [EaterWire, ISSF]
