After working through some parking issues, the Bauermobile is dazzled by Woodside newcomer Station 1 where former Commis chef de cuisine Zach Freitas works some magic: "With the effort that's gone into what's on the plate, Station 1 should be the hottest ticket in town." Though he's not totally charmed by the atmosphere, which "feels like walking into a wood-encrusted cave," his sweet tooth is tickled, indeed: "desserts prepared by Paul Shields can hold their own with just about any produced in the Bay Area." In the end it's three stars for food and an overall rating of 2.5. [Chron]
