Here lies breaking word of now deceased food businesses across the Bay.

1) La%20Salsa%20Closed.jpgFiDi - La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill has unceremoniously shuttered downtown on Battery Street due to franchisee abandonment. From what we can gather on Yelp, the Mexican chain aficionados prefers Chipolte and Rubio's anyway. [EaterWire]

2) Healdsburg - Kahleen Nowak closed her three-year-old Healdsburg Ave. artisan food purveyor A Divine Affair on Friday. Nowak says her "crazy landlord" tried to raise the rent by $700 and even went so far as to offer her patio to other potential renters. Needless to say, she's out with this Facebook goodbye and the promise of some exciting future venture. [EaterWire]
