It's been on winter hiatus since November, and now the "largest regular market of gourmet street food on the West Coast" Off the Grid Fort Mason returns tonight with 50% more space, 12 new trucks and a bar powered by the good people of The Alembic bar and Magnolia Pub in the Upper Haight. Barman Daniel Hyatt's four cocktails will stick with the Latin theme of the evening. Expect a "867-5309" (gin, house-made ginger, lime leaf soda), "Itchycoo Park" (cachaça, sweet corn, condensed milk, curry powder), four other cocktails and three Magnolia beers. Organizer Matt Cohen has created a handy Yelp page that lists all the trucks and tents for the evening. Let's give a warm welcome to ex-Poleng Lounge mastermind Tim Luym's WOW Filipino silog truck, joining the San Francisco truck party for the first time all the way from San Mateo, accompanied by other new vendors Brass Knuckle, JapaCurry, Saucy Dumplings, Zombe Curry, Musubi Kings, Peter's Kettle Corn, and Sataysfied. Naming a food truck looks thrilling, doesn't it? Remember it's not all fun and games.
