Today Top Chef Masters announces the new judges and 12 contestants that will appear when the third season premieres on April 6. Our own Traci Des Jardins of Jardiniere and Mijita/Public House has made the cut and will compete for La Cocina. Also, the esteemed Ruth Reichl will replace Gael Greene, joining Aussie Curtis Stone and Saveur editor-in-chief James Oseland on the judging panel. Faithfuls should expect a major format change in this next season: elimination-style competitions in the style of Top Chef's regular series will replace the old scale system. And there will be cameos from Maroon 5 and "pop sensation" Kelis, so... Eater National has the full list of competitors and an enthralling, new Traci des Jardins head shot, certainly worth your time on this dreary Wednesday.
