ADA Adventures

Han%20Il%20Kwan.jpgThe Richmond Blog brings on the story of Han Il Kwan, a mom-and pop Korean restaurant that recently closed under threat of an ADA lawsuit for a 10-day, $35,000 remodel on its bathrooms to make them wheelchair accessible. That's a lot of money, not to mention lawyer fees, for a small business to fork up. As the Chile Lindo brick-and-mortar-to-basket adventure of last year shows, many aren't able to make it happen. The article also mentions the indefatigable Craig Yates is still filing lawsuits. "His latest filing, from March 16, is against You See Sushi at 94 Judah in the inner Sunset." [The Richmond Blog]
