As San Francisco leads the charge with city parklets, we're also gunning to be the headliner for national urban agriculture policies. The City is working on legislation to permit urban gardens in all areas of San Francisco and the sale of all produce grown in those gardens. Mayor Ed Lee said in a statement: "Urban agriculture not only increases people's access to locally grown, healthy and sustainable food, but it also converts unused land to productive green spaces, revitalizing neighborhoods and creating green jobs."
