The Corner Adds Dirt Cheap Happy Hour, More Regular Gigs, Pop-Ups at Sister Restaurants Boogaloos, Weird Fish and More

The Corner's manager Justin Glennon has been shuffling things around as he works to get all the new rotation members on a regular schedule. In pop-up land, it's not the easiest task, but things are in order as of today, and the latest schedule for March is on the website -- with regular gigs for Pizza Hacker, Kasa Indian Eatery, Radio Afrika Kitchen, Catheads BBQ, EAT Restaurant and Ken Ken Ramen. This schedule should be almost exactly the same in April.

A few things aren't listed on The Corner's website that you should know about. Firstly, in an effort to promote the new pop-up venue identity as your new "neighborhood chill spot," Glennon will start a wine happy hour this Thursday with by-the-glass wines priced at $2 and under from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Also important: Ryan Ostler will "almost definitely" not be doing his pop-up on Sunday. Tonight, Pizza Hacker will be offering this menu, including a radicchio, blue cheese, pear and farm egg pizza and some special items (like abalone!) from Soul Cocina. If you'd like more on what Kasa is doing tomorrow night, look here. EAT will be starting up with this menu next Friday (3/18). And Glennon adds that Parada 22 is their go-to on off nights, so if you don't see something on that schedule at a certain date, there will probably be Puerto Rican food in the house that night.

Things are just starting to look up on the business side of things, so Glennon now feels comfortable doing pop-ups at The Corner's sister restaurants. graffEats, for example, will be doing its next four dinners at Boogaloo's on the 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th of this month. And Sushi Somewhere is now elsewhere too: at Weird Fish on Tuesdays. Look out for some new residencies at St. Francis Fountain down the line as well. And hey, if you're not hip to this newfangled pop-up thing yet, maybe it's time to revisit the notion.
