Set up like Cochon 555 without the competition, or the San Francisco magazine thing with a charity, grass-roots bent; Taste of Potrero brings a brand-new gala fundraiser event to the playing field for the good of Daniel Webster Elementary School. School fundraising chair Adam Zolot a.k.a. Epicurean Zealot has wrangled an arresting group of restaurants to participate, including Bar Agricole, Flour + Water, Grand Pu Bah, Piccino, Serpentine and some other heavy hitters you can read about. There will be aerialists and live acoustic music and the money you spend on the ticket will fund things the city government doesn't subsidize for the school: like phys ed, computer teachers, field trips, nurses and librarians. It takes place on May 12th at Dogpatch Studios and as you see here at eventbrite, there are several ticket options, all of which include 5+ tastes, full access to an open bar and the aforementioned aerialists and live music, which sort of sounds like Cirque du Soleil with food, but we're not making any promises.
