It is now safe to start thinking about Kung Fu posters, hip hop music and Asian rice bowls. In just five days, chef James Syhabout will offer up all of the above when his casual street-fare driven Hawker Fare opens for business in Oakland. They'll just serve lunch at the start. Dinner and (hopefully the liquor license) will probably kick in around the 26th. [ISSF]
