The long-vacant light purple building next to Don Pistos appears to have a taker. An on-the-ground Eater operative spotted this rugged-looking sign in the window at 524 Union Street, scrawled with one hopeful future French restaurant's name: Le Bordeaux. Upon further investigation, "it has an awesome interior, big wood bar and a little seating area by the front window." We can't find public record of Le Bordeaux, and the ripped-edge cardboard sign doesn't exactly send off a hifalutin caviar-and-champagne vibe. We're thinking neighborhood charmer here. Any intel on the Le Bordeaux party will be well-received at HQ.
