Mirtille Opens Today Near the Civic Center, Here's the Menu

The very purple Mirtille is now very open on McAllister Street. A lot of the major details on this 30-seat all-day cafe were revealed back in January with the renderings. Now owner Francois Chevillotte passes on the menu, detailing several soups, chose-your-own-ingredient salads, bite-size "signature" sandwiches on pretzel bread, baguette or ciabatta, several quiche options and desserts. At the outset, prices look extremely low and the France-born owners appear to be doing what they set out to do: offer locally sourced, preservative-free lunchtime options with a French spin.
