Building on the small surge of creole/cajun spots we've got going on here, a new pop-up called Easy Creole is coming to town next week. The menu includes affordable versions of etouffee, gumbo and the like made by founding chefs, Jess McCarter and Grant Gooding. Making it more of a San Francsico-style operation, there are extra vegetarian and vegan items; all meat-free dishes are also gluten-free. Now that the owners have space for pop-up prep leased at La Victoria, they'll be serving a list of favorites next Wednesday at The Residence from 5 p.m. onwards. And Friday, they'll be at La Victoria from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Depending how things go, they may become a regular pop up thing every week at The Residence. (Pun, averted.) Now take a look at the menus for both nights after the hop. McCarter tells us everything comes with garlic bread and a wide array of hot sauces.
