Pilgrim Bauer traverses the bridge to find Plate Shop, a new Sausalito restaurant from Aqua-vet Kim Alter with an "awkward floor plan" and a menu of "intricately crafted creations." The review feels more positive than negative. Bauer says "the combinations are so complex you might think you're at Michael Mina or Gary Danko," he calls a scallop and pork belly appetizer "brilliant" and maybe he even tried some duck brain. Downfalls seem to include the timeliness of the kitchen and some menu stumbles. Still Bauer doesn't get why the place isn't packed. "It should be a hot ticket," he says. Final answer: 2 stars.
