A camera-wielding tipster provides this photographic evidence of new life springing forth at the shuttered Pudong space in the Castro. Remember the Chinese brasserie enjoyed a short life in the spotlight on Market Street, and now it appears she'll be reincarnated under the same ownership as Ginger Fruit, offering "Chinese Shanghainese Cuisine." The website is under construction and we haven't yet confirmed if chef Jason Xu is still around. But at the very least, Ginger Fruit is way more appetizing than Pudong, don't you think?
