A new coffee shop called The Brew opened today on Polk Street between Union and Filbert. Polk Sheet says it's "nice" and there's a play are in the back for kids. Yelp tells us there's free WiFi. With Peet's, Starbucks and Royal Ground sharing the vicinity, this is a breath of non-chain fresh air, but still there's no word on what kind of coffee and espresso are served.
