STRANGE BEDFELLOWS - Karl Wente, fifth generation winemaker at Wente Vineyards is so into yoga, he's started a video series about it on his blog. In the first video he reveals he has "zero fear of doing yoga poses in public places" and it even helps him "be present with wines" when tasting. Wente has 11 more yoga videos (with titles like "yoga and wine: roots of the earth") planned for the coming year. Click through to see Karl doing head stand pose among the barrels. [EaterWire]

The series follows Emeril as he visits the "cherished institutions" of American big cities. Our sources say Buena Vista Café, Swan Oyster Depot and Tadich Grill will be featured on Thursday's premiere. [EaterWire]

ABC WIRE - The liquor license has gone through for Roostertail Rotisserie, the new restaurant moving into the old Cafe Kati space. This means the opening is on the horizon. The Eater Investigative Squad is on the hunt for more information. If you know anything, drop us a note. [EaterWire]
