Nico's Cinco de Mayo Freebies and New Late-Night Window

New, 1 comment

As of tomorrow, North Beach's brand new Nico's Tacos will officially end its soft-opening phase by serving two-for-one tacos in honor of Cinco de Mayo. They'll also be cooking up free food for the launch party of San Franpsycho's new store next door (1314 Grant St.). The party goes from 5 to 10 p.m. and is sponsored by Artá tequila. Nico's owner Leanne Lai adds Nico's late night take-out window will be in full effect this weekend and every weekend thenceforward. Starting Friday, they'll offer things like "big gooey" Texas Toast grilled cheese sandwiches, meat on a stick, Mexican sausage sandwiches and other booze-appropriate fare from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. During regular restaurant hours, look for weekly specials like pork belly tacos to roll out as soon as next week. Brunch and a liquor license should arrive in the coming months.
