Txoko Gets Close, Cupola Lets Menus Fly and More

BROADWAY - And here we have a logo for Ryan Maxey and Ian Begg's forthcoming authentic tapas spot Txoko. The boys are now waiting for the health inspector to make final rounds and are hoping to open up before the end of May. The build-out is coming along steadily and menus are being finalized. WESTFIELD - Cupola, the glitzy pizza place coming to former Zazil digs in the Westfield, is planning to open around the end of May or early June. CASTRO - It's been a little over a month since Bagdad Cafe said goodbye to Market Street, Tablehopper confirms former Lark Creek Steak chef Randy Lewis plans to open Criollo Kitchen there next week. The menu will focus on global soul food and there will be 24-hour service on weekends. [Tablehopper]

BAYVIEW - Tanya Holland's soul food standout Brown Sugar Kitchen may be opening in the ground floor of the new Carroll Station condo building (5800 Carroll Avenue) as soon as mid-August.
