Friday night the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of the 2011 Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards. Winners of local interest include—in the cookbook categories—Secrets of the Sommeliers: How to Think and Drink Like the World’s Top Wine Professionals by Jordan Mackay and Rajat Parr and Stir-Frying to the Sky’s Edge: The Ultimate Guide to Mastery, with Authentic Recipes and Stories from San Francisco native Grace Young. Aidlin Darling Design won for its work on Bar Agricole and the San Francisco Chronicle won best food section. Eater National has the full list of winners.
