COMING ATTRACTIONS - Ticket prices have just been reduced for the "Peaches and Tango" dinner Top Chef winner Richard Blais plans to cook at Frog Hollow Farm on July 23rd. Imagine eating this menu in the middle of the Frog Hollow orchard with live Argentine tango music and that's what this dinner will feel like. Proceeds benefit the Chez Panisse Foundation and you can still buy tickets here. [EaterWire]
THE LUNCH BUNCH - La Oaxaquena's grasshopper tacos were banned, but they just started a $5 and under "comida corrida" lunch menu to make up for it. There are tacos, pupusas and huaraches that Broke-Ass notes "probably [cost] what a glass of tamarindo might set you back at Nopalito." [Broke-Ass Stuart]
OAKLAND - Grubstreet says James Syhabout's Hawker Fare will be ending the BYOB, hopefully as soon as Thursday. [GrubStreet]
PATXI'S - On Thursday, all Patxi's locations will feature special vegan-friendly versions of their deep dish and thin crust pizzas. FYI, most of the creations hinge on Daiya soy-free cheese. There's currently a vegan pizza naming contest on Patxi's Facebook page should you wish you participate. [EaterWire]
EXPANSIONWIRE - The second outpost of Michael Mina's RN74 opened today in Seattle. Semi-related, they'll probably be getting a Mina-endorsed grilled cheese chain in the next year or so too. [EaterWire]
