The Valencia Street location of Dosa recently applied for a full liquor license and ended up getting it soon thereafter. But before the cocktail menu rolls out—with all the regalia many have grown to love at the Fillmore Street location—they're going to close up shop for some housekeeping. Owner Anjan Mitra says closure will last from June 22 until the 29th as they put in a new bar, new furniture, floors, artwork and lighting. Due to a streamlined back bar, they'll gain some floor space as well. Wheels are also in motion on a "whole new set of cocktails" and changes to the dinner and brunch menus. All of this should make for an au courant reimagining of the Mission South Indian staple— and formidible competition for the impending, very splashy sounding Amber Dhara still on point for its nearby late August opening.
