FIDI - The smartly websited Bamboo Asia will be opening on July 7th in the Financial District. It's a quick casual concept, divided into three stations, separately themed to Japan (sushi and sashimi salads and bowls), India (tandoori meats, curries) and Vietnam (bánh mì, noodle and rice bowls). Everything costs $8, is totally customizable and is being billed as "heathy." See pretty pictures of all the options here. It'll be lunch, dinner and take-out in the early going. An Asian tapas and cocktail roll-out is planned for summer. [EaterWire]

PAC WHITE - Dumplings & Buns a.k.a. "Beard Papa of Chinese Buns" is on target for an opening to the public in the first week of August. [EaterWire]

WESTFIELD - It was said that Martin Yan's Noodle Revolution and real Chinese restaurant, would open in late 2011. Now Yan tells GrubStreet it probably won't happen until early 2012. [GrubStreet]

SANTA ROSA - Flipside Bar & Burgers will open mid-August at 630 Third Street with these simple differentiators: grass-fed Kobe that's ground fresh daily and "lots of cheese choices." Also: a full bar, boozie shakes and "Wine County [burger] recipes like the Capricious, layered with mozzarella, tomato, basil aioli and balsamic onions."

BERNAL HEIGHTS - The reinvention of Skip's Tavern as The Lucky Horseshoe has been delayed. The new ETA is tonight at 4 p.m. [Bernalwood]

NOB HILL - The plan to put a huge condo complex in at the Cala Foods site has been thrown out. The gro sto is still going to close in December or January, as SFoodie reports a Trader Joe's is moving in. [SFoodie]
