Some may recall the first Tyler Florence project in San Francisco was supposed to be Bar Florence, a hotly anticipated, high pro restaurant in the former Plush Room at the Hotel Vertigo. It fell through in 2009. And the latest twist is this lawsuit filed by his investors: HLC Enterprises and long-time SF party moguls Martel and Nabiel. They want their money back. The ammunition? Allegedly, year-old Wayfare Tavern is a lot like what was planned for Bar Florence, which could be the plantiff's weakest link or strongest argument. Regardless, we can't fault the TyFlo for keeping things interesting.
