MARINA - Inside Scoop has more on the Cedar Hill BBQ restaurant coming to Scott St. The chef Jon Rietz comes from Memphis Minnie's; the restaurant will be counter-service during the day, table-service at night; and meats cooked on a Texas smoker will take center stage. They're shooting for an early September opening. [ISSF]

FIDI - Although the "Opening Soon!" signage just went up at the future home of La Boulange at 465 California St., please note the opening date for this location is still projected to happen around December 1. There's a significant build-out in store at the old Napa Ranch locale, as this outpost will seat 120 and allow La Boulange chain to significantly increase its catering operations. The 222 Sutter St. location's opening is still looking like Sept. 19. [EaterWire]

FIDI EXTRA - Darren Matte of the Marina's popular Brick Yard has filed for a liquor license at 654 Market Street to open a bar and restaurant called Per Diem. [GrubStreet]

OAKLAND - Faz Poursohi, the man behind the Embarcadero's late Faz is planning to open a new location of his Persia-inspired chain at 1111 Broadway in Oakland City Center. He's planning to open on 11/11/11, a lucky day? [EaterWire]
