Breakfast at Flour + Water, ForageSF Goes Legit and More

MISSION- San Francisco homegrown star pastry chef, Belinda Leong (of Gary Danko and Manresa) will be at Flour and Water on August 7th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. serving up scones, macarons and obscure sounding pastries that will surely impress your friends, like Kouign-Amann, kugeloph and bostock. Wait a minute, isn't that the law firm where we temped? [EaterWire]

MISSION - The AfroUrbanites are coming! Coming to San Francisco from the East Bay that is, for the second in a series of Modern Ethiopian dinners. Following in the food steps of the wildly popular Radio Africa Kitchen (you know, the other African pop-up) they will be doing dinner at Coffee Bar on August 27th with seatings at 6:30 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. The prix fixe menu has three courses and comes with Ethiopian coffee, for $35. Find out more by calling 415-374-0254 or rsvp afrourbanites@gmail.com. [EaterWire]

ForageSF Pop-up - The ForageSF Underground Market may be kaput due to legal issues, but don't count Iso Rabins out yet. His latest venture? An incubator kitchen open to all the fine young crafty San Franciscans looking to start businesses of their own. Says Rabins in a recent email "This kitchen will be a space where Underground Market vendors, established artisan food businesses, and the general non-professional public, can have a place to create and connect around home grown food." All they need now (in addition to proper licensing) is a name. Submit your suggestion. Whoever submits the winning name gets two tickets to one of their Wild Kitchen dinners. [EaterWire]
