Pearl's, Biergarten & Lite Bite All Hope To Open in August

PROXY - Although the Suppenküche Biergarten anticipated some soft opening activity this week, owner Aaron Hulme says they're now in a bit of a holding pattern due to various City red tape issues. The hope is that you'll be slugging beers and pretzel sandwiches before the end of the month. [EaterWire]

MID-MARKET - The folks behind Pearl's Deluxe Burgers' expansion to 1001 Market St. are taking over the space this week, with plans to open before the end of the month. [EaterWire]

MARINA - Super Duper has started construction at its new Chestnut St. outpost. It should open sometime in late September/early October. [EaterWire]

TENDERLOIN - The old Original Joe's space at 144 Taylor Street is turning into a theater company called PianoFight Theater Company. They do have plans for a bar and some sort of cafe or restaurant. No ETA yet. [ISSF]

SOMA EXTRA - LiveSoma reports that Soma Restaurant and Bar has moved into the former Little Joe's space on Fifth Street. So far, minor interior retouches have been made, but the vintage woodwork remains intact. [LiveSoma]
