Today The Examiner reports owner Sommer Peterson has been faced with $44,000 in combined "impact fees" and Muni transit fees. The Small Business Commission is trying to get a "special fee structure" put in place to help her and other small businesses in such cases. Supporter Ben Ospital says, "If this young woman can’t open a business, then really...it makes us Sacramento with hills...I don’t think tourists come for that." [Examiner]
