Roughly 200 people convened this morning to watch Mayor Ed Lee christen Fresh & Easy's second SF outpost's opening in Bayview. Besides its status as the first full-service grocery store in Bayview in 20 years, this branch is significant as part of the draw for potential takers of the brand new condos built-out at 5800 Third, upstairs. As you can see here, a $1000 check was also donated to the Bayview YMCA in honor of the store's opening. Tomorrow would be a good time to check out what's happening. The new market is teaming up with coming-soon neighbors Brown Sugar Kitchen and Limon Rotisserie to offer free bites along with an art showing from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Register here.
