Right on target, Louis' Restaurant reopens today with crashing waves as the backdrop to a hearty American breakfast (now with fair trade coffee). Inside Scoop takes a stroll down memory lane today with a photo circa 1947 of four members of the Hontalas family (who have owned the restaurant since 1937) holding fresh-caught fish from the ocean below. About to turn 75, the revamped space is freshly loaded with recycled and sustainable materials, while ingredients have moved toward (what else?) being locally sourced. As always, early reports are encouraged here or in the ever-ready comments section. [ISSF]
