Mission's Mozzeria Bringing "International Fusion" Pizza

New, 1 comment

We've got Neapolitan pizza out the wazoo in this town; so, smartly, the press guy over at forthcoming 16th St. pizzeria Mozzeria reveals some of its potential differentiators today via the EaterWire. Owners Russell and Melody Stein do plan to serve "traditional Neapoitan pizzas" from their new wood burning oven but there's also a movement to "celebrate diversity of people in this vibrant city" with "pizzas prepared international fusion style."

Filling things out will be small plates, pasta, desserts, wine and beer. You should also know the Steins recently returned from a culinary tour through Naples, Rome, Sorrento and Postitano, Italy. So at the very least, they're getting inspired. The plan, as of now, is for the diversity pizza to hit the Mission some time this fall. Check out their latest adventures with the ADA and architecture on their blog here.
