In May, we shared lots of details about La Condesa, the Austin born-and-bred Mexican restaurant bringing its James Beard-nomination bragging rights to St. Helena. Today, let's take a look inside at the decor, designed by owner Jesse Herman and Joel Mozersky of One Eleven Design. The artwork comes from Cruz Ortiz, who also happens to be chef Rene Ortiz's brother. Reclaimed local woods set a rustic stage, modernized by hand-crafted Modernica chairs from LA.

Also, take a peek at the dinner menu, hot off the presses from Rene Ortiz's kitchen. (It hasn't even gone live on the website yet.) You'll see favorites from Austin, like seared venison taquitos, and Napa originals, like blue corn masa-stuffed squash blossoms. The beverage menu details 200 tequilas, 30 or so mezcals, specialty cocktails and wines curated by GM/sommelier Chuck Meyer.

Get a taste here, or check it out in person. La Condesa opens to the public tonight at 5 p.m. for dinner. Lunch and brunch service will start later this month. Full hours and reservations information can be found on the website.
