Following the disturbing news that the America's Cup 2013 will be booting Teatro ZinZanni from its home on the Embarcadero, the Chron reports the popular dinner-cabaret-contortionist display has found a new home. Ed Lee's spokeswoman confuses things a bit, saying they've narrowed it down to several locations and ZinZanni's managing director Susan Outlaw adds that they're "hopeful" it will be on the Waterfront.
There are murmurs that the whole operation will move to the north corner of Broadway and Embarcadero. ZinZanni, as we know it, will tie things up with a show called "On the Air" set to run from Oct. 13 through New Years Eve. Naturally, they'll have to go dark during the move early next year. Outlaw hopes their loyal fan base will return once they're up and running again.
