Allegro Italian restaurant has been off the market for some time now in Hayes Valley, and today Sir Lucchesi reports that a new restaurant called Dobbs Ferry will be moving in to that space and the neighboring vacant kebab joint. They're billing a “California bistro with East Coast sentiments” with a "casual neighborhood menu" executed by former Ozumo chef Mike Yakura. One of the owners, who also has Aces and The Pub, is named Scott Broccoli—really not the kind of thing you can make up. Planned opening is sometime in November. [ISSF]
