Top Chef's Josie Malave Brings Global Soul Café to SF

New, 2 comments

One-time Top Cheffer Josie Malave, last seen as Executive Chef at Norwood in New York, will be showing up in San Francisco this weekend. Specifically, her new Global Soul Café pop-up restaurant will be at The Corner for the next three Saturdays. The theme of the food will change to reflect her heritage. So since she's from Miami, this Saturday is "Miami Nights," offering an "authentic Cuban" menu. Next Saturday will be Italian-themed, and the final Saturday will highlight San Francisco vendors in some way. She's still finalizing it. Dinner hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Lots of Top Chef action in town lately, eh?

[UPDATE: Josie writes in to add that this won't be the last of her here in SF. She's also got a popsicle company called Queen of Pops in the works for a Bay Area launch in Spring of next year, and she plans to make San Francisco a permanent home in January. You can also catch her on the radio on Tuesday nights.]
