Elizabeth Falkner and Michael Chiarello to Battle in The Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs, Season 4

Don't forget, Elizabeth Falkner and Michael Chiarello will be among 10 "renowned super chefs" competing in the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs, set to air on October 30th. They'll face-off against Anne Burrell, Marcus Samuellson, Geoffrey Zakarian, Beau MacMillan and Chuck Hughes, among others. The winner shall advance to Iron Chef America. Now let's take a moment to look at both chef's stats.

First, the esteemed E-Falk, who holds down Citizen Cake and Orson here in SF, was last seen on the national front battling New York's Johnny Iuzzini in a terrifying "cupcake throwdown," which she lost. On the flip side, Michael Chiarello is chef-owner of Yountville's Bottega, and already a Cooking Channel regular. Incidentally, both Falkner and Chiarello were included in the debut of Top Chef Masters a few years back. Rick Bayless won that. And to quickly recap, this is how the last season of Next Iron Chef ended up, and no one from SF won the season before that either. It goes without saying that it is now, very much, time to represent.
