Ravi Kapur OUT at Prospect

After nearly a decade working with the talented folks behind Boulevard, and a little over a year as executive chef at new venture, Prospect, chef Ravi Kapur has decided its time to move on. He tells Inside Scoop the decision certainly wasn't an easy one. And we can imagine it was particularly tough after earning 3.5 stars from Bauer, just months ago. Now that he and his wife have a four month old son, he's decided to take himself out of the game for a bit in order to spend time with his family. "With the birth of my son ? I did not think it would hit me as hard as it did,” he tells Scoop.

Co-owner and chef Pam Mazzola, who's been instrumental in creating Prospect as we know it, will step into the role of executive chef. It's hoped that Kapur will resurface somewhere in the San Francisco culinary sphere. At this point, where and how is anyone's guess.
