Bomb Truck Drops in the Mission, Casey's Pizza Truck Rolls Into Off the Grid, and More

FOOD TRUCKS - Carrying on the great tradition of cutesily named food truck food items, the Bomb Truck is now selling its "bombsicles" in the Mission. They're popsicles—in flavors like strawberry ginger lime and "flan with an oozy caramel topping." The van is seafoam green, so you really can't miss it. [Daily Candy]

FOOD TRUCKS - The Casey's Pizza Truck we broke in June is ready for prime time, complete with a "1,900-pound, gas-fueled, brick-lined pizza oven." Urban Daddy says they'll start flipping at Off the Grid this week, and Eater says it's always best to check Twitter and Facebook to be sure just exactly where and when they'll be showing up. [UrbanDaddy]

FROM THE BAR - Last week, local spirits scribe Camper English joined SF-born cocktail great Tony Abou-Ganim and another judge to decide on the winners of the Bombay Sapphire/GQ Magazine Most Inspired Bartender Competition in Las Vegas. The second runner-up was local Spruce barman Brandon Clements for his cocktail featuring Fernet-Branca. Take it as further proof that the bar provides the best seats in the house over at Spruce. BEWARE THE BBQ - Temptation to break out the 'cue may be high this evening, so Spare the Air would like to remind you that you're not doing the air any favors by firing it up. Kindly avoid that. [SFist via STA]

EXPANSION WIRE- Thought you'd be interested to know the New York outpost of Gastón Acurio's La Mar Cebicheria is now open in New York. It will be interesting to see how paws on a plate go over on the East Coast. [-ENY-]
