Poolside Happy Hour Party at Chambers, District Expands to Oakland, Details on brewtruc, and More

POOL PARTY - Chambers%20Pool.jpgParty in the Tenderloin! Chambers Eat + Drink is throwing a pool party tomorrow with $4 beers and $5 cocktails from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Hey, it's sunny out, and once you're inside the Phoenix Hotel, you could really be anywhere. More info here. [EaterWire]

EXPANSION WIRE - The owners of SoMa's gargantuan wine bar, District, have jumped on the closed Levende East space in Oakland. Although the space will look similar to the popular SF original, there will be liquor and cocktails, which should make it quite the "wine bar." [ISSF]

SWITCHEROOS - Back from Turkey, Mme. Tablehopper finds out what's going on with the new owners at the Parea Wine Bar space. They're turning it into Etcetera Wine Bar. It's opening soon, and they're not saying much more than that for now. [Tablehopper]

BEER TRUCK - Following yesterday's Rumormongering, GrubStreet passes on the Facebook page for brewtruc, which will hopefully launch around Oct. 10 as "a luxe taproom for restaurant-adjacent beer gardens; and a non-profit beer education hub." Owner Hugh Schick is also retrofitting a 1961 Nash Metro with a mesquite-grill. That'll be called 800-lb Grilla when he's done with it. Then 800-lb Grilla and brewtruc can make babies do tandem events. [GrubStreet]
